SEO and local search

Ranking is not the point. Being the business someone calls after they search is the point. Those are two different jobs, and most of the distance between them is fixable.

What SEO actually does

Someone in your town opens Google and types what they need. They read the first few results, maybe the map, and they call one business. SEO is the work of being that business. It is not a ranking report and it is not a monthly list of keywords that went up by two places.

Most of the work is unglamorous. A site that loads in under two seconds instead of six. Pages that answer one question each instead of one page trying to answer nine. A Google Business Profile with the right category, the right hours and photos that are not four years old. None of that is clever. All of it moves you.

When SEO is worth it, and when it is not

SEO pays off when people are already searching for what you sell and picking someone else. If there is search volume and you are invisible, the gap is yours to close.

It pays off badly in two situations, and we will tell you if you are in one of them. The first is a genuinely new category nobody searches for yet, where you are better off spending the money on social and direct outreach. The second is a business that needs customers this month, because organic search does not work on that timescale. Three to six months before the numbers mean anything is normal, and anyone promising faster is either buying links or counting the wrong thing.

How we work

We start by finding out what people actually type, which is rarely what a business assumes they type. Then we look at what already ranks for those queries and what those pages do that yours does not.

From there the work splits in two. The technical side is speed, crawlability, structured data and the mistakes that quietly cap a site (a blocked robots.txt, a canonical pointing at a redirect, four pages competing for one query). The content side is writing the pages that deserve to rank, in Macedonian, for the searches that bring buyers rather than browsers.

If we built your site, the technical half is usually already done. Every site we ship runs on Next.js with structured data, clean canonicals and Lighthouse scores in the nineties, because retrofitting that later costs more than doing it once.

What is included

A technical audit and the fixes that come out of it. Keyword and competitor research for your market. On-page work: titles, descriptions, headings, internal links and the structured data that makes Google confident about what your page is.

Local search is its own track: the Google Business Profile set up properly, consistent name, address and phone everywhere they appear, and city pages where they are justified by real search demand rather than built one per town to pad a sitemap.

Reporting is monthly and in plain language. Enquiries, calls and the queries you now show up for, not a spreadsheet of position changes.

How It Works

Our process

  1. 01

    Audit

We crawl the site, check what Google has indexed and compare it against what people search for in your market. You get the list of what is broken and what it is costing, before any work starts.

  2. 02

    Fix the technical side

Speed, indexing, structured data, canonicals, mobile rendering. The unseen half. This is where most Macedonian business sites lose ground without anyone noticing.

  3. 03

    Content and local signals

Pages written for real queries, in Macedonian. The Google Business Profile cleaned up and kept current. Name, address and phone consistent wherever they appear.

  4. 04

    Measure and adjust

Search Console and analytics, read monthly. What is working gets more of the effort. What is not gets dropped rather than defended.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Technical fixes can show up within weeks. Rankings for anything competitive take three to six months, sometimes longer in a crowded market. We report from month one so you can see movement before it turns into enquiries, but the honest answer is that this is slow work.
