The brief

Trajanov is a clothing label from Strumica: one designer, a first-place finish at a design competition, and a way of selling that standard e-commerce refuses to understand. Pieces are released in drops, a handful of designs at a time, in genuinely limited numbers. Customers pay cash when the courier arrives: no cards, no prepayment. Delivery is within North Macedonia only.

An always-open store with an endless catalogue and card checkout (the template) was exactly wrong. The brief was to build the store the way the label actually operates.

The build

A dark, editorial, bilingual (MK/EN) storefront that treats each piece as a piece, not a SKU.

The drop mechanic is built into the site's bones. A countdown on the homepage says when the next drop opens; between drops, everything can be browsed and nothing can be bought. Stock is counted on the server, not on the screen: when a piece shows "3 left", three are left. Orders are capped at two pieces, so drops aren't emptied by one buyer.

Checkout matches how the label's customers actually pay: cash on delivery. An order reserves the stock for 48 hours, the label confirms it by phone, and if the customer can't be reached the piece goes back on sale. The FAQ says all of this out loud (when you can buy, how you pay, why there are so few pieces) instead of hiding it in the terms.

What it changed

The label sells the way it was designed to sell. Scarcity on the site is real scarcity: "sold out" is a fact kept on the server, not a marketing state. A one-person label from Strumica runs limited drops with reserved stock and phone-confirmed orders (machinery that usually belongs to much bigger streetwear brands) without taking card payments or breaking its own rules.
